SCS SB 802 -- SEWER DISTRICTS SPONSOR: Shields (Rucker) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Local Government by a vote of 14 to 0. This substitute defines "owner," "registered voters," and "voters" as the terms relate to the laws governing sewer districts in counties of the second classification. The substitute contains an emergency clause. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and FY 2009. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that there is only one registered voter residing in the district, so the bill is needed in order to elect a five-member board of supervisors. Testifying for the bill was Senator Shields. OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee. Julie Jinkens McNitt, Legislative AnalystCopyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
